Smallest Six Legged Walker
I set myself the challenge of building the smallest possible walker. While not the absolute smallest, (I'm sure something miniscule with two legs could be classified as a walker) this is small and moves well. Nothing explains it better than a short movie (715k).
The micromotor is directly attached to a worm screw, which drives a chain of 8-tooth gears. Alternate axles drive a pair of engine cranks which are all in the correct phase to drive the legs. Simple.
Can you do smaller? The challenge is set!
